Another week, another update and in week number 4 you will find the first time I viewed two tracks as one but still let both count towards the 20 track limit of the playlist. Other than that there’s not much to share so let’s get into it.
I have decided to be updating the playlist weekly for the whole of 2018! You can press play right away and then scroll down for the story.
Included in the playlist this week
As you will see, I included two Big Sean tracks right next to each other this week. This is not something I would normally do, but since the vibes and subject matter of the tracks compliment each other so much, as well as the instrumentals of the songs being blended into each other, I figured I might as well add both tracks together. Also, the fact that the tracks are identically sequenced on the album causes this to make a lot of sense, HA!
Also included is another song by Norman Perry as I have been listening to his Play by Play album a lot lately. The Weeknd makes it’s return as well with ‘the other song’ he made for the 50 Shades Of Grey Soundtrack that not too many listened to because everybody was busy paying attention to ‘Earned It’. That makes ‘Where You Belong’ a very under appreciated song and it’s one of my personal favourites.
Finally, Wade Hampton’s ‘Make Ya Say’ that has been included for the past two weeks had to make room for his new song ‘Boundaries’. It’s a sensual love song and therefore is perfectly sequenced behind ‘Where You Belong’, which brings me to my final point; I have started to pay attention to the sequencing of the songs in the playlist a little too, because I want to keep it flowing when you play through it. I don’t know if you noticed but if you haven’t, then I think I did a pretty good job in not messing up the vibe.
See you next week.
